This product is a superior high quality UV resistant water-based direct to metal coating. Based on acrylic copolymer emulsion. Contains a flash rust inhibitor allowing for direct to metal application. Excellent adhesion to most metals.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Mixing: Always stir well with a flat paddle before use
Application Method: Brush or Roller or spray application
Thinning: Not recommended, this product is ready for use, (order product spray ready)
Cleaning: Clean equipment with water
Application:
For Brush or Roller Application:
- Apply 1 coat of Metal Shield and allow to dry for 2hours drying time between coats to achieve proper penetration. And an additional 4 hours in cold wet weather
- Apply a second coat to ensure that the surface is properly coated
For Compressor Spray Gun:
- Apply 1 coat of Metal Shield and allow to dry for 2hours drying time between coats to achieve proper penetration. And an additional 4 hours in cold wet weather

SURFACE PREPARATION
Metals:
- Remove rust with Clean & Protect
- Heavily rusted areas should be sandblasted to remove all existing paint and primed with Shield Primer – consult with agent
- Remove dust, foreign material, grease and oil with HD Degreaser
- Scrub with a hard broom or wire brush and wash off thoroughly with clean water
- Ensure that the surface is sound and dry before painting
- Apply 2 coats of Metal Shield and let dry for 2 hours between coats
