Surfakleen Rust Remover is a highly concentrated, industrial-strength, waterborne rust removal solution formulated to effectively dissolve and lift rust from steel surfaces. The product is based on a powerful blend of surfactants and acids, making it ideal for heavy-duty exterior steel preparation prior to priming and coating.
USES
Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces to be painted.
New Steel: Removes all blue millscale.
Old / Rusted Steel: Removes rust.
Restore and clean old tools, car parts, firearms and ornaments.
How to use
Mixing
Thin with H2O
For extreme rust: Thin 1:1
For light rust: Thin 1:3
Application
Use a brush, broom or steel-wool to apply the mixture. Leave for 30 minutes.
Rinse off with H2O.
A rust bath can be prepared for dipping: Dip rusted parts in mixture
and leave for 30 minutes. Rinse off with H2O.
For Copper and Brass: Use a dish-washing sponge to avoid scratching.
Health and Safety
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Rinse with water.
Store in a cool dry place.
