FR Concrete Repair is a high-strength, fibre-reinforced cementitious repair mortar designed for structural concrete patching and rehabilitation. The formulation incorporates specially treated monofilament fibres (32 microns in diameter, 6–12 mm in length) to enhance dispersion, bonding characteristics, and crack control within the repair matrix.
Once cured, the product dries to a durable grey finish and provides excellent compressive and flexural strength, making it suitable for demanding structural repair applications.
Application Areas:
- Structural concrete repairs
- Restoration of spalled or damaged concrete
- Repair of honeycombing
- General patching of deteriorated concrete surfaces
Product Features:
- Easy to mix, apply, and finish
- High early and long-term strength development
- Reduced plastic settlement
- Reduced bleeding
- Minimises hairline cracking
- Fibre reinforcement reduces the need for crack control mesh
- Excellent bond strength to prepared concrete substrates
Application Details:
Workability:
When mixed, the product provides a smooth, workable consistency for easy placement and finishing. After curing, any exposed fine fibres may be lightly burned off to achieve a smooth surface finish where required.
Thinning:
3–4L of Water per 25kg FR Concrete Repair
Drying Time:
Initial Set: ±2 hours | Final Set: ±3 hours
Concrete Application:
- Pre-wet the concrete mixer before use.
- Add 3–4 litres of clean water per 25 kg bag, depending on the required consistency.
- Gradually add the full contents of the bag while mixing.
- Mix thoroughly until a uniform, lump-free consistency and desired slump is achieved.
Application Limitations:
- Do not apply when ambient or substrate temperatures are below 9°C.
- Avoid application in excessive heat (above 35°C).
- In hot conditions, use wet hessian coverings or appropriate curing compounds to reduce rapid moisture loss and improve performance.
